Dan Fisk served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), a Fortune 150 company, with responsibility for its legal activities for nearly 20 years. Previously, he was Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Sprint Corporation, where he held various legal and executive positions for more than 20 years.
Until recently, Mr. Fisk served on the international board of the Association of Corporate Counsel, and on
the national board of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries. He is a long-term member of the
Legal Advisory Council of the AEI/National Legal Center for the Public Interest and is Chairman of the
Atlantic Legal Foundation in New York City.
Throughout his career, Mr. Fisk has served on a number of business, professional and civic boards, including the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce; Dickinson College and the Hospital in Carlisle, Pennsylvania; the United States Chamber of Commerce Government and Regulatory Affairs Committee; and the American Film Institute. In addition, Mr. Fisk has been appointed to advisory councils to the Federal Communications Commission, and served with former Solicitor General Ted Olson on former Vice President Dan Quayle's Steering Committee for Civil Justice Reform.
Mr. Fisk was the recipient of the 2000 national American Corporate Counsel Association Excellence in Corporate Practice Award recognizing his professional accomplishments in corporate practice, his personal integrity and his commitment to the advancement of the in-house practice of law. In 2002, he was honored by the Southern California Chapter of the association with its Corporate Counsel of the Year award for his pro bono activities.
Mr. Fisk has written and spoken extensively in legal journals and before professional groups on the subjects of law department management, managing inside/outside counsel relationships, controlling litigation costs, the use of technology in the courtroom, advanced trade secrets in business transactions, insurance strategies, the attorney/client privilege and corporate governance.
